About the Live & Love Short Film Competition
The Live & Love short film competition is about breaking the stigma of the Herpes Simplex Virus (HSV), offering Australian film makers the chance to win:
- the Judges’ Choice Award of up to $10,000
- one of five People’s Choice Awards of up to $1,000
The brief invites film makers to select a specific message about the virus and then create a 30 second film that creatively communicates that message and sparks conversation about HSV.
A panel of judges will shortlist the five films that they believe do the best job of communicating a message that helps break down the stigma associated with HSV for the Judges’ Choice Award. They will be invited to attend the Live and Love Event (at which the films from the competition will be screened) in Sydney on the evening of Tuesday 20 October 2010. The invitation will include one return airfare, accommodation for one night, and meal allowance (see terms and conditions for details)
The five most popular films measured by the number of public ‘votes’ they receive will each receive a People’s Choice Award.
The Judges’ Choice Award winner will be announced at the event and receive up to $10,000. The five People’s Choice Award winners will each receive up to $1,000.
The competition opens at 5pm on Monday 9 August 2010 and entries must be received by 11.59pm EST on Friday 24 September 2010.
